Visiting the refectory of Santa Maria delle Grazie is like stepping back into the history of world art. Seeing Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” in person is a transcendent experience; the way he captured human emotion and the revolutionary perspective in the mural is breathtaking. The tour is essential for understanding the details of the a secco technique and the genius behind each of the apostles’ expressions, making it an unforgettable memory for any culture lover.

The tour was well organised with good communication up front. We had amazing tales and description of the Sforza castle with a great opportunity to view the Pieta by Michelangelo. This was followed by an easy walk to Santa Maria delle Grazie where we spent time in the quaint church. Paula was incredible giving us a lead up discussion on Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper. Then the cherry on the top was viewing this amazing master piece. I am so glad I booked this tour.

Firstly our group was small which is always positive. Our guide Maria was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Her insights to viewing the Last Supper were invaluable. We only did the first part of the walking tour as this was an area we hadn't visited and again found her insights very interesting. Her English was excellent.
