⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Must-Visit in Melbourne! Visited yesterday and I’m still buzzing about it! Melbourne Museum is genuinely one of the best museum experiences I’ve had. From the moment you walk in, the building itself is impressive — the architecture is bold and modern, and the open spaces inside make everything feel grand without being overwhelming. The dinosaur and fossil exhibits were the clear highlight for me. They’re beautifully presented, with enough detail to fascinate adults while still being visually stunning enough to stop you in your tracks. The overall atmosphere throughout the museum is calm, well-organised. Staff were friendly and the whole place was spotlessly clean.

I'm near on 74 and the curiosity evoked through the museum's material kept me bound for an age. Starting with the First Peoples presentation ( which was fairly strong, I particularly liked the art and personal stories. In my on view complexity and fidelity are areas for growth) Then into geology - again fantastic and the world of dinosaurs again captured me. The scale of things, like the blue whale. Marvellous So thanks, Rob

Had a lovely time viditing the museum with my son and Husband. The only improvement would be better signage for the lifts for those with disabilities.

The museum is absolutely great! We enjoyed all the halls there, especially the fossils one. It took approximately 3 hours to go through all the museum.

Headout stood out because it made discovering and booking experiences feel effortless and exciting rather than stressful. Instead of digging through endless options, it curated top attractions, tours, and activities in a simple, mobile-friendly way, often with last-minute availability and instant confirmation. What really made it special was the focus on convenience and spontaneity—people could land in a new city and quickly find something amazing to do within minutes, all while getting competitive prices and reliable reviews. It turned travel planning into something flexible and enjoyable, which is exactly what most people are looking for when they explore somewhere new.
    • Visit two of Melbourne’s top museums with one convenient ticket and save on combined entry.

    • Melbourne Museum showcases Australia’s natural history, Indigenous culture, and local stories, ideal for families, students, and anyone eager to explore Australia’s past and present.

    • At Scienceworks, families and curious explorers can check out hands-on exhibits, engineering displays, and even tinker with tech in dedicated spaces.

    • Both museums are well-connected by public transport: Reach Melbourne Museum from the city, then take a direct train from Flinders Street to Scienceworks (Spotswood) in about 20 minutes. Driving between the two takes just 15 minutes, making it simple to visit both in one day.

    • Choose separate days if you want more time to explore. Most visitors spend about 2.5 to 3 hours at Melbourne Museum and 2 to 3 hours at Scienceworks.
