The entry to the landmark was anything but smooth ! We walked all round the outside of the building and couldn't find an entry point. Finally i saw 2 security men who told us we were too early and to come back an hour later (e arrived at the time on our tickets). This was because of the light apparently. So we had to go to our restaurant and ask to be seated an hour early and then go back. the show was very enjoyable although some of the narration was not audible over the clapping fromt he audience encouraged by the performers.

Excellent singing performance and light display. Particularly enjoyed the journey through time and the accompanying music choice. The different lighting displays were spectacular and I particularly enjoyed the greenery and bees. Spoke to a lady in the audience who's daughter was the conductor for the music and had seen the performance several times. She advised me where to view and get the best appreciation but I consider that standing anywhere gives one a full experience and enjoyment. The different lighting themes were spectacular and certainly different. The cathedral walls and organ pipes give a wonderful surface for the light projections which moved around the room to give spectacular images to accompany and complement the music. The singers were fantastic and I particularly enjoyed the male falsetto, but all the soloists were excellent and the others backed them wonderfully. It's hard to imagine that there were only eight singers as their combined voices were phenominal.

If i could give more than 5 stars then I would. The show from start to finish was beyond belief. I was gutted when it ended. Christopher Eccleston talks us through the development of Manchester over the years which is coupled with cleverly thought out song choices. The gospel choir were fantastic and sang songs such as elbow, the verve, oasis and many more songs from epic bands. The entire performance is built around a light show which was beyond description. I would 100% recommend this event

Fabulous show. The gospel choir & conductor were excellent as was the narrator, Christopher Eccleston. The show went through the history of Manchester, with music by various Manchester artists performed with a twist. The accompanying light show was also fabulous. There were plenty of seats but the majority of the audience stood & you could wander around if you wished. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to go to see this.
