Aquariums in Manchester

Easily one of the best most accessible and informative aquarium experiences our family has visited. Atmodoheric immersive informative revealing . Booking showed an anomaly: my 8yo son is registered disabled (visually impaired). As a carer, I should have been allowed free entry. Ticketing prevents this and we could only reverse the situation by my being the paying adult and he as my carer which is perverse and untrue. When mh family visited (wife totally blind and 2 children rdgistered visually impaired) I became mh wife's carer and elder child became youngest child's carer ... more equitable. Pause for thought ....

The whole experience was amazing. Staff were helpful when i had a question the answered. I would definitely come again and recommend it to others as well

The aquarium is great. I really enjoyed the turtle 4D experience at the start. On a negative note twice ive been and twice the staff at the sealife touching pool have been obnoxious and rude. They could see my son was queuing for a turn. They didnt tell him to wash his hands until after he got to the front . He then lost his place. The second time I had him wash his hands to start with. The guy didnt speak to us until we put hands in the pool. When I told him we had already washed our hands he looked shocked. I then had to prompt him to talk to us. He said they are star fish- nothing more, no interesting facts etc. Only when my son started touching the star fish wrong did he tell us then how to do it. They need some training.

Seeing the colourful fish in all their variety was simply amazing ,my neice and nephew enjoyed the experience so much and certainly would like to visit again!!

Worth every penny and the 55 mile journey to get there. Booked as a surprise day out for our granddaughter. She loved every minute.

I enjoyed it all. Staff were pretty good. Animals were incredible. The lady who did the turtle beach show at the start had the most awful performative voice. It was excruciating andI couldn't listen to a word she said because I couldn't bear to listen to her. She would never talk like that normally. It was like she was trolling everyone. Very strange.

Lots of things to see. Slightly repetitive. The person on the touch starfish display was quite abrupt and not friendly at all.... he seemed to not want us there! All other staff great.
