This was easily one of the best shows I have seen. The performance begins immediately upon stepping into the venue, and doesn't shop until the show's over. The acting was brilliant, brought me to tears several times, and the production elements blew me away - the sound design for this show was ridiculous. And what made it all the more amazing was in one of the upper balcony seats and still felt like I received a wonderful experience. The price of the seats you choose for the show does not directly correlate with your enjoyment: The different seats really do just change your perspective of the action. The show is so well thought through that you can walk away with an incredible experience, no matter how much you pay for tickets.

This production was immersive and magical from the moment you stepped in the door. We were greeted by someone who put stickers on our phone cameras as a reminder not to take photos. They really want to keep the entire experience a mystery until you can live it! We were then given a complementary glass of schnaaps as we were led through a winding passage toward the first group of performers. The cast engaged with attendees throughout the night. The main performances were stellar. Katie Hall (Sally Bowles) and Matt Willis (the Emcee), especially, offered standout performances. I was enraptured by the whole thing!

I'm usually sceptical about re-interpretations of plays and musicals, but Cabaret was outstanding. This gritty interpretation made the show relevant and engaging. My wife and I will be talking about it for weeks to come. Fantastic setting, imaginative costumes, and outstanding performances. One of several high points was a remake of the well-known "Money Makes The World Go Round" with a Darth Vader character in the lead.

Lively atmosphere. Arrive 60 minutes early to find the cast/musicians catering to a "cabaret-like" crowd. Sets the mood immediately. Casting was superb. Orchestra was crisp and clear. Singers were outstanding. Acting was awesome. All-star cast was off the charts. The work is intense and topical (US). We should see it again tomorrow if we could.

From entering the theatre there was an atmosphere of a night club. At the beginning of the show I was engaged. The change from the frivolous to the downright horrific was shocking and I left the theatre no wanting to talk but to absorb what I had experienced. it was superb!

    The story

Berlin, 1930. The Kit Kat Club pulses with life as the world outside fractures. Here, singer Sally Bowles and writer Cliff Bradshaw chase dreams amid political turmoil. Presided over by the enigmatic Emcee, the club becomes both escape and mirror, a glittering illusion as fascism creeps closer. In Cabaret, laughter and jazz blur with fear and survival, until the spotlight fades.
