Eine sehr kompetente, freundliche und lustige Guide(in) informierte, zeigte was es an interessanten Infos zu und rund um dem Tower of London zu sagen gibt. Art und Umfang ihrer Ausführungen waren einfach grossartig. Im Tower selbst übergab sie uns an einen Beafeater, der mit Augenzwickern und einem bunten und für alle verständlichen Vortrag Geschichte und Geschichten zum Tower zum Besten gab. Beide Guides waren grossartig, mitreissend und lassen uns gerne wieder kommen.

What to expect

Tower of London

Once inside, delve deep into the Tower’s dramatic roles throughout history, from gruesome executions to royal ceremonies and infamous betrayals. Your guide will bring centuries of intrigue to life through gripping stories and expert insights, making sure you don't miss key highlights.

Crown Jewels: Enjoy priority entrance to the Jewel House. Inside, marvel at the dazzling collection of crowns, ceremonial swords, and orbs used in royal coronations and state functions.

After-hours access and Ceremony of the Keys: Follow a Beefeater guide and explore the after-hours grounds, followed by the rare Ceremony of the Keys experience. (This experience focuses on the Tower’s outdoor areas and historic grounds, and does not include entry inside the buildings).

What’s not allowed

Photography is allowed in most areas, except the Jewel House and the Chapel of St. John.

Photos aren’t allowed during the Ceremony of the Keys.

Luggage, large bags, tripods, selfie sticks, and other photographic or recording equipment are not allowed in this experience.

Smoking, eating, and drinking are not allowed.

Accessibility

This experience is partially wheelchair- and pram/stroller accessible.

Complimentary adult carer/companion tickets can be obtained on the day of your visit upon presentation of proof of supporting documents (such as a Blue Badge, Freedom Pass, DLA letter or PIP letter) at the Ticket Office.

Your guide dogs are welcome at the venue.

The Crown Jewels are a working collection, and as a consequence, the display is subject to change without prior notice due to security reasons.

Your ticket is valid for one entry only. No re-entry is permitted.

Some Beefeater meet-and-greets take place outside the King’s House, a restricted area normally off-limits to the public.

The guided portion of the tour lasts approximately 1.15 to 2.5 hours, after which you may explore the Tower at your own pace.

You’ll meet a tour host at the start of the experience, who will guide you to the Tower’s gates. There, you’ll be introduced to your Beefeater guide, who will lead you into the Tower of London after it has closed to the public.
