This performance was awesome! First, Oliver! In South End , how could it be better? The cast was exemplary. Far outperformed the US soundtrack I listened to afterward to try to recreate the joy! The theater ambience was elegant and set the tone for a great night ahead. The staff was organized and helpful! Great evening all around!!

Somos una familia fanática de este Musical. Desde muy chica mi padre me trajo a verlo, luego traje a mi hija y ahora a mis otros 2 hijos Todos fascinados por tantas actuaciones Mi favorito Fagin y por supuesto todos los niños que son uno mejor que otro.

I had not seen the show in over 40 years. When visiting London, I made it a top priority in my otherwise busy schedule. I was NOT disapponted. Amazingly talented cast. The singing, dancing, and acting were excellent. I would definitely see it again.

A wonderful evening of song, dance, acting and comedy. The stage and props were creatively arranged and the live orchestra was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Thank you!

The cast was excellent, the musical was delightful and the theatre was lovely . A most enjoyable evening. I will use Head Out to book theatre when I am in London again.

Written by Charles Dickens, Oliver Twist was critically acclaimed for exposing the cruel treatment of orphans during the mid-19th century and also its unromantic portrayal of the lives of criminals. Award-winning dramatist Bryony Lavery has adapted this tale in conjunction with Leeds Playhouse to put disabled artists on center stage. Amy Leach, who has directed The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, The Shelter, and We All Fall Down is all set to direct the production which promises to dazzle audiences from across the world!

The story

Born into a poor family, Oliver Twist is left orphaned after his father’s mysterious disappearance and his mother’s death during childbirth. Oliver finds a home in a sweatshop, where he is mistreated. Soon, however, Oliver encounters Artful Dodger and Fagin and joins their troupe of pickpockets. He revels in this new exciting and adventurous life as a criminal. His happiness, however, is short-lived and he finds himself falling under the influence of the vile Bill Sykes. Will Oliver be able to turn around a life filled with misfortune and poverty?
