The Lion King is my favorite movie, so seeing the musical was honestly a pretty big deal for me. I had really high expectations going in, and somehow, it managed to exceed all of them. First of all, the Lyceum Theatre itself is beautiful. The atmosphere already makes you feel like you’re about to experience something special before the show even starts. And then the musical begins… I absolutely loved it. Every single actor, from the main characters to the smallest roles, was so talented. Their voices, acting, and stage presence were all amazing. The stage and costume design were probably one of my favorite parts. One thing I was genuinely curious about before seeing it was how a story that revolves around animals could possibly be turned into a live musical performed by actual people. But the costume design were so incredibly well done that I completely forgot about that question within seconds. The moving staircases, the way the sets transformed, and all the little details made everything feel so alive. And somehow, Scar became almost my favorite character in the musical. Which is funny because he’s definitely not my favorite character in the movie! And here’s the crazy part: I took two people with me who had NEVER seen The Lion King movie before. I know, absolutely insane. 😂 They loved it, watching their reactions throughout the show made the experience even more fun for me. There were so many moments when I got chills, and I genuinely got emotional more than once. Even though I already knew the story and every song, seeing it performed live made it feel completely different. It was emotional, beautiful, incredibly well made, and honestly just one of those experiences I’ll remember for a long time.

From the very first note of The Circle of Life, this show completely transported us into another realm. Calling it a performance doesn’t do it justice—it is a breathtaking, soul-stirring masterpiece that left us with goosebumps and tears of pure joy! The absolute highlight of our night was our seating position right next to the aisle. Being just inches away as the cast, giant animal puppets, and incredible performers surged through the theater made the entire experience extraordinarily immersive and intimate. Feeling the energy, the rustle of the elaborate costumes, and hearing the powerful voices resonate right beside us created a rush of pure adrenaline. You don't just watch the story unfold—you feel it vibrating through your entire chest. The craftsmanship of the puppets, the rich African rhythms, the stunning lighting, and the profound emotional depth of the story came together in a way that truly touched our hearts. If you get the chance to see The Lion King, do whatever you can to book an aisle seat! It elevates a magnificent show into an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime sensory journey. Absolutely priceless!

It was good to be in the company of people who were all there in eager anticipation of the show. Entrance to the theatre was made easier by colleagues who directed us to the correct entrances from outside the theatre. Bag searches were courteous and did not cause delays. The show kept good time and even the noisiest of audience members quitened down and were wowed by the sheer spectacle of the performance. I Saw The Lion King about ten years ago and was pleased to see that the scenery and artistic design had been refreshed. Special effects were even more spectacular. The enthusiasm of the performers was infectious, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. My American guests were thrilled to experience West End theatreland at it's best. An enjoyable wonderful experience. A bonus was being near Covent Garden Market with all the entertainment of Street performers and artistic markets stalls available

Absolutely spectacular! 🦁✨ The Lion King in London was such a magical experience from beginning to end. The costumes, music and creativity of the production were incredible, and the way the animals were brought to life on stage was breathtaking. The cast were fantastic and the atmosphere made you feel completely immersed in the story. A beautiful, nostalgic experience that brings out your inner child, no matter your age. Definitely a must-see when visiting London!

From the first notes of “Circle of Life,” when the animals filled the aisles and stage, I had goosebumps. The costumes, masks, and puppetry are extraordinary—you quickly stop seeing performers and start seeing a living savannah. The cast sounded superb, the humour landed beautifully, and the emotional moments genuinely moved me. Even though I know the film well, this felt like a completely new experience. A must-see in London.

I took my 6 year old (nearly 7, Granny) grandson for his first London show and it was all I could have wished for, from the long climb up to the Grand Circle, the steep look down, the lavish decoration on the ceilings and boxes, to the show itself. The story

The Magic That Never Fades I've seen The Lion King several times, and it never loses its magic. It makes you feel good, you sing along, and you want to get out of your seat and just dance -but the lessons about family and the circle of life speak to every generation. Seeing it in London was epic, especially watching a friend perform in the ensemble. As we say in Jamaica "pride buck"🇯🇲.

Bel teatro adiacente allo strand, stucchi originali ed atmosfera d'altri tempi. Lo spettacolo e' stato superlativo , costumi e coreografia pazzesche , bravissimo tutti gli attori ma in particolare il bambino che impersonava simba. Ci tornerei volentieri !

Great night and performance, would recommend to anyone. One negative was the prices of drinks and snacks... over £20 for a bottle of water, bottle of Pepsi and 2 small ice creams.
