I have previously seen a North American production of Les Mis, and let me tell you, this sow absolutely dwarfs it in quality. The set, the music, and the cheeky British humour really sealed it as the difinitive production of the show. Every single performer was on top game and I was weeping at the end of almost every song. I will be back!

Wonderful show: every member of the cast was outstanding. The staging was exceptional. We sat in third row of the Stalls, far left, and almost felt we were a part of it. Absolutely loved it. Nice theatre.

Generally the show was very good but you needed to know the story to follow what was going on. The seats however a a tad uncomfortable for such a lonh show.

Everything! The cast was absolutely superb. I felt like I was seeing a first-run. The leads were all on their game: Timing - impeccable and characters- so grounded and riveting. The ensemble worked as one. The music and staging were gorgeous. We'd seen a touring company in America; this production was on a completely different level. I also appreciated the very professional ushers who are now elevated to policing cell phone use (and are effective). This creates an opportunity for the magic of live theater to come alive for actors and audiences, and it is so appreciated. There is nothing like it. Thank you!

Doris R.

The intimacy of the relatively small space and smallish stage reminded me of our first viewing of The Lion King in its original venue in NYC, NY, as opposed to the immensely generic current Minskoff Theater. We had traveled from the USA for holiday in England and Paris, and were delighted to find this show playing, as it is among our absolute favorites. To hear Cosette's magical voice was worth the entire effort. We wanted to box it up and "Bring it home"!!
    • Adapted from Victor Hugo’s novel and reborn as a record-smashing musical and blockbuster film, this London classic resonates with dreamers, rebels, and romantics, now in its record-breaking 41st year after marking its 40th West End anniversary last October.

    • Olivier and Tony awards crown its success, with Cameron Mackintosh producing, Claude-Michel Schönberg composing, and a star cast led by Killian Donnelly.

    • Themes of justice, redemption, and love collide with its famous revolving stage and rousing anthems like "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Do You Hear the People Sing?".

    • Since 1985, it has been the West End’s longest-running musical, dazzling 130+ million worldwide and having been translated into 21 languages with performances in 53 countries.

    • With 392 costumes, 85 wigs, and seamless staging, this theatrical feat brings 19th-century France to life on a breathtaking scale. Book your Les Misérables London tickets today!

    The story

Set in 19th-century France, Les Misérables follows ex-convict Jean Valjean, released after years in prison but forever branded by his past. Pursued relentlessly by Inspector Javert, Valjean rebuilds his life under a new name while encountering characters like Fantine, Cosette, Marius, and Éponine. As revolution brews in Paris, love, sacrifice, and justice clash in a tale that asks: who will rise when the barricades fall?

    Critics reviews

“With a cast that never misses a note, the West End’s longest-running musical proves a haunting and thrilling inspiration.”

    The Guardian

“It whumps you in the solar plexus … sold by world-class singers, it still defies the critics.”

Show was something of a pilgrimage for me. I have known it my whole life but never saw it live. It did not disappoint. Éponine (Jess Folley) was a standout for me. Fresh and 'on my own was particularly moving. I would go again if I could.

Beautiful show, I really loved the costumes and staging. The entire cast and ensemble did an amazing job. I especially loved the Joe Griffiths-Brown as Enjolras and Oliver Savile as Javert. I would definitely watch it again if I had the chance.
