Landmarks in Caserta

What an incredible piece of history!! We were super impressed with everything we saw. A little bonus is the restaurant half way up on the walk to the waterfall.

Una piccola gita mi ha permesso di fare una visita in questo posto incantato. All'ingresso nessuna fila. Abbiamo esibito il biglietto ed è iniziata una lunga e silenziosa passeggiata ascoltando la natura.

The palace is amazing and well worth a visit; however, I didn't need to stress about the tickets since there was no one in line when we arrived at 11:30am. We paid for the Audio Guide, but it was very frustrating for me to use. I thought the it would go in order from place to place and I even hoped that it would come on automatically as we entered each room, but that was not the case. I had a hard time matching the room we were in with the correct description on the Audio Guide. In addition, I had opted for the English tour, but in the middle of the tour, it suddenly switched to Italian for a few of the rooms. I got frustrated and just gave up using it. It was easier for me to just read the English part of the signs that were in each room. A map showing the route with the rooms being labeled would have been very helpful. The water features in the gardens aren't operating right now, but don't miss the grotto in the English Garden!
