From Athens: Delphi & Arachova Day Trip with Expert Guide & Transfers

Took this tour with my partner and honestly, it was kinda magical. Our guide, Anna, was SO enthusiastic about everything, like she could barely contain all the facts she wanted to share. We started early (bring coffee!) and the bus ride was comfy, but I did wish there were USB chargers. Delphi itself is STUNNING, with these mountain views that look fake, but they’re not. I’d heard about the Oracle since I was a kid, so actually seeing the ruins + hearing the stories was wild. I felt a bit rushed in the museum, though—could've spent an hour more easy. Lunch at the taverna was chill—loved the moussaka but watch out if you’re veggie, not tons of options. Also, can’t take pics in some museum rooms, so heads up. Would 100% do again, maybe solo next time for more wandering.

Honestly, I almost didn’t book this but so glad I did. The drive up the mountains is SPECTACULAR and def not something I’d wanna do solo tbh. Our guide, Kostas, had all the historical hot goss and could answer anything. The group was a fun mix—some solo folks, some couples, a very giggly group of friends. Lunch was at this random spot with the cutest stray cats (I named one Zeus, lol). Only regret: museum time felt short. If you’re a history nerd, you’ll want more.

La prise en charge et le chauffeur de bus Alex étaient parfait. Nous avons passé une exceptionnelle journée à Delphes, le musée et le site sont absolument époustouflant grâce à notre guide Vangelis qui est un puit de connaissances, maîtrisant parfaitement l'histoire antique de la Grèce et restant très disponible pour chacun d'entre nous. Went with my mom and younger sis, and we all had a blast. Guide was clear and super patient (my mom asks a LOT of questions). Bus had AC but the seats are a little tight. Weather was perfect, sunny but not boiling. Only downside was the timing—felt like we were herded a bit too fast through the ruins. Museum was less crowded than I expected. Lunch: big portions! If ur a light eater, maybe share. Overall, solid trip & def worth the money.

We went as a couple, and the weather was just perfect. The drive to Delphi is almost as cool as the site itself (mountains everywhere!). There were a lot of people, especially at the main temple, but our guide was pro at finding quiet corners. Museum is small but packed with artifacts—def check out the bronze charioteer. Lunch was filling, not fancy. If you’re into ruins, go for it.
