Our guide was super friendly, and definitely knew his stuff! Although limited on time, he highlighted the most interesting and important parts of the Roman forum and colosseum. Entering the arena was worth it too, and I enjoyed how the tour ended there so we could take our time and enjoy the colosseum on our own afterwards. Very grateful that he chose shady spots for us throughout the tour to get some relief from the heat!

Polina was amazing. She was so knowledgeable about everything we saw and answered all our questions. She was truly great with the heat wave going on making sure to stop at places to fill up water and keeping us in the shade as we would stop. I would highly recommend this tour as we got to see the arena floor and spent a good amount of time at the Roman forum and palatine hill learning about all the history.

Paula was our patient, very knowledgeable tour guide, who gave us such valuable information to make our tour worthwhile and memorable. Her understanding of the area history is remarkable and shows such love and passion for what she does. I recommend the Colosseum and Palatine Hill tour for all those reasons. My only concern were the directions and instructions to get to the starting point. A check in was never mentioned also, there were no white flags as directed, nor was the tour guide wearing the specified attire. Had it not been for some diligent effort on our part we may never have met this devoted employee, Paula nor enjoyed the tour. Andrea

This was our first booked activity after arriving in Rome in the morning and it was one of the best things we did on our 3 day trip. The colloseum is impressive in itself but our guide Gini really brought it to life. She was fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Especially showing us pictures of how the Roman forum would have looked and showing us some vantage points that we would not have otherwise seen and explaining what would have happened in each. I would definitely recommend this type of tour and a big thank you to Gini, who not only was a fab tour guide but took some great photos of us. Thank you 😊

We loved the tour and our guide but the confusion created by Carpe Diem before the tour we disliked. First we received information that our tour starting 9.30 was cancelled. We offered another different tour. We were offered a 15% payback. Which we still have not received. We accepted, our tour would start at 10.00. We again received an app from Carpe Diem that our tour would start at 10.30. Much to our surprise, on our way to the meeting point I received a call from from Carpe Diem. With the question , where are you? Your tour start at 10.00????

O guia tinha um conhecimento profundo sobre a história e conseguiu compartilhar de uma forma leve. A entrada em grupo com certeza ajuda a aproveitar melhor o tempo. São lugares com bastante história que vale a pensa o visitante apreciar com calma e tentar imaginar tudo que acontecia la. Não é um local só para fotos!

The Colosseum – the epic stage of ancient gladiatorial battles – is yours to explore. Follow your expert guide through the seating rows where thousands once gathered, and visit the museum on Level 2, showcasing artifacts from the Colosseum’s past.

Then, step onto the Arena Floor—an exclusive vantage point that most visitors don’t get to see. Stand where gladiators once fought, looking up at the towering ruins from the very heart of the amphitheater.

After your Colosseum experience, continue your journey through ancient Rome. Stroll through the ruins of the Roman Forum, once the bustling center of Roman life, and ascend Palatine Hill for panoramic views of the city.

In July and August, tours may be shortened to 2 hours due to heat.

The order of attractions may vary to manage crowds.

There is no timed entrance to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum, so queues cannot be skipped—please account for extra time to enter.
