As a granny I drove the Aquaduck which delighted my two grandchildren. The talk was informative and fun and added to the enjoyment of the experience.Its a perfect way for all ages to spend the day. We will definitely come again.

Very informative, we had to walk around to the other tour as our bus was broken. Ualf way there were called to say it wasn't broken but i think the obe we went on was great plus we had a duck noise on board. Missed out on our photo tho we took at shop . My father is 80 amd was over from NZ so gutted i missed the picture

The whole thing was great. Liam was funny and I think Jerry was our driver. Nice day , nice going into the water. Never been on one before. My husband and I had a great time so thank you.

We had such a fantastic time on the Aquaduck! The highlight for our kids was the exciting moment when the vehicle transitioned from land into the water—it was such a unique experience. They absolutely loved getting a turn to “drive” the boat and were so proud to receive their captain’s certificates at the end. The staff were friendly and made the experience fun and engaging for the children. It was a great way to see the Gold Coast, and we’d definitely recommend it to families looking for something different and memorable!

The staff at AquaDuck were amazing and very funny. They were also professional and ensured we all were safe and had an enjoyable experience. Despite being a local, I still learned new things about the area that made the tour even more enjoyable.

Margie and Jerry were our guides for our trip and they were absolutely wonderful! They were so accommodating for our group (ages ranged from 3-94). It was a joyful and informative experience for everyone in our group.

A quintessential Queensland experience

Take the “world’s first” amphibious Aquaduck Safari, which has been running since 1996. Whether you’re short on time or not, this tour shows you the best of the Gold Coast in a jiff. Your journey begins in the heart of Surfers Paradise on Cavill Avenue. You'll board the famous yellow 'Duck' vessel, an amphibious vehicle that's become a true Gold Coast icon. As you set off, you'll get to see the famous 'Surfers Paradise' sign - a great photo opportunity! Take in the breathtaking Pacific Ocean from your standpoint, while picking up facts about the Gold Coast you knew not of. You’ll also see the Southport Yacht Club, Palazzo Versace, and Marina Mirage before you head to the Broadwater.

Kids get to be Captain

The real excitement begins when you reach the Broadwater. Get ready for the famous "splash down" as our Aquaduck seamlessly transitions from land to water. Float about the shimmering waters of the Gold Coast as you enjoy this scenic cruise. Once you're on the water, all children on board will have the opportunity to take the wheel and drive the Aquaduck! The skipper will invite each child to have a turn if they wish. As a memento of their time as captain, each child who drives will receive a personalized Aquaduck Captain's Certificate. It's a great souvenir to take home and show off to friends and family.

Bring along your sunscreen, hat, a bottle of water, and layers for comfortable exploration.

What's not allowed

Keep in mind food & beverages (except water) are not allowed on this experience. Pack wisely!

Due to vehicle restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

This experience is not accessible by wheelchair and pram/strollers.

Your guide dogs are welcome on this experience.

Additional information

Due to safety concerns, the ship's captain may cancel or postpone the tour if the weather becomes excessively wet and windy.

Prams and large bags cannot be stored on the bus or at the booking office.

Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 and above.

The 5:45pm tour operates in low light conditions. To ensure everyone’s safety, children cannot captain the boat during the twilight trip.
