The show at the Tango Piazzola Theater was, for many reasons, an unexpected and unforgettable experience for us. We didn’t expect much from an “unpretentious” tourist tango show in Buenos Aires, but that changed when we came across the show at the Piazzola Theater.
That’s because we were already familiar with Astor Piazzola’s significant contributions to Argentine and world music.
What we didn’t expect was the skill and emotion conveyed
to the audience by the musicians, dancers, and singers, who treated us to a Saturday night featuring the best of traditional Argentine music and Piazzola’s classics.
This is the best Tango/traditional Argentine music show anyone could hope for in Buenos Aires, and on top of that, it comes at a reasonable price (we bought our tickets through Headout), features an incredible theater atmosphere, and boasts an exuberant performance by the artists.
We highly recommend it!

An incredible show. I was expecting just dancing, since I was visiting Buenos Aires and didn’t know much about it, but I discovered culture, dance, a live band, poetry, singers—an experience that captures a significant part of what Argentine culture is all about. Plus, the theater was beautiful!! This time I went alone, but next time I’ll bring someone along.

The show is spectacular; we went with our kids, and they were glued to the stage from start to finish. I highly recommend the experience. Everything was well organized from start to finish. The only thing to reconsider is the food prices inside the Tango.

Hi!! It was a wonderful experience to learn so many details about the history of the greatest arena of the arts. The guide not only took us through the different areas but also helped us relive in our minds the most important moments that took place there, as well as the customs of the past. I recommend that everyone pay a visit. You’ll have an amazing experience.

We really enjoyed the show. In addition to the tango dancers, there was also a malambo dancer, a female singer, a male singer, and some great musicians.
The ticket included water and a glass of wine. (Because of the long wait, they brought us a second glass of wine).
We booked the show without a meal. The ticket said 9:00 PM and that we absolutely had to be there 15 minutes early. When we arrived on time, it was still closed, and we were ushered out rather gruffly. The show was supposed to start at 9:45 PM, but it actually didn’t start until around 10:15 PM.

The show, the VIP dinner, and the service were spectacular. The only issue I had was that the receptionist was new and wasn't familiar with the QR code reservation, so she asked me for a voucher. But I spoke to the manager, and he was able to verify my reservation in another system. Overall, everything went very well.

Everything was wonderful—incredible staff from the moment we walked in to the service provided by Jesus, the young man who helped us—and the performances were breathtaking. Everything was so beautiful; everyone deserves congratulations.
