Day Trips From Vienna

Our tour guide on the bus and in Salzburg were excellent, and the bus driver made us feel very safe on the road. It was a nice visit to Hallstadt and Salzburg. We considered taking the train and figuring it out ourselves but I'm glad to have had a guided tour.

The trip was great. The guide in Bratislava could have moved faster. We actually left the tour after 30 minutes and toured ourselves. The highlight of the trip is the boat ride back.

The cruise on the Danube is very nice; the ship is comfortable, and the food was plentiful and delicious. We really enjoyed it.

Everything was perfect, even the weather! We were treated to four meals, a pleasant and relaxing cruise, and a wonderful stay in Dürnstein. A few minor downsides: in the area where our table was located, the air conditioning was set very high; we had to cover ourselves with jackets and there was a draft. In the other parts of the ship and on deck, it was pleasant and much warmer. A few lounge chairs and armchairs on deck would have been nice, too. But those are minor details. Overall, everything was wonderful.

I liked the scenery and commentary on the ride there and the free time at Hallstatt. I wish it was a bit longer. It also would have been cool to take the same route back to Salzburg as we took to Hallstatt.
