I assigned five stars to this concert not because I am an expert is a critic – I'm not. I'm really not qualified to critique musical performances. But what I AM qualified to do his call out really a lot of behavior that is above and beyond expectations. At the recent 1756 Orchestra performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons, I somehow lost my ATM debit card. I didn't notice. I had lost it until the next day. Much to my surprise, late that morning, I got an email from the Orchestra, notifying me that they had found my card and then I could come by and pick it up at any time that was convenient for me. That is truly great customer service, and I really appreciate it and the 1756 Orchestra!

The concert took place in a beautiful church that was a 7 minute walk from our hotel across the street from a lovely and above City park. We had skip the line reserved tickets and were excited to our seats, which were in the 8th row. The music was great and the acoustics quite good for a space not designed to be a consent hall. The only problem was with a microphone that did not work. This delayed the start in the performance for about 5 minutes asnd made difficult to hear the musicians speak, but had no impact on the music.

The excellence of the musicians, the exquisite location, the showmanship of the solo violinist. (Pictures were not allowed during the concert, so I have none to upload)

The music was sensational, the St Charles Cathedral was stunning, the church pews were torture but we managed as the concert only went for an hour. The musicians were a joy to watch and Vivaldi's music always uplifts the soul. A beautiful evening indeed.

Exceptional! And with seats in row 6, numbers 15 through 18, it was an incredible experience—I was already very familiar with Vivaldi’s *Four Seasons*—what a performance and what beauty in this absolutely stunning church. A wonderful *Winter*

Amazing performance, incredible church! Vivaldi's music carries you away, and the musicians were simply perfect. The whole family enjoyed the event which i highly recommend
    • Set in Vienna’s iconic Karlskirche, this 1-hour concert features Vivaldi’s Four Seasons — a vivid journey through spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

    • Performed by Orchestra 1756, known for their historically informed style and period instruments, the ensemble delivers Vivaldi’s score with striking clarity and character.

    • Experience the drama of The Four Seasons through expressive solos and dynamic ensemble passages, echoing birdsong, storms, rustling leaves, and icy winds.

    • Admire Karlskirche’s Baroque grandeur — marble columns, golden altars, ornate stucco, and vivid frescoes glowing under soft evening light.

    • Did you know Vivaldi composed The Four Seasons while working at a girls’ orphanage? It’s reimagined here with precision by an acclaimed ensemble.

A great concert with outstanding artists and a world-class first violinist. The only downside was that the Karlskirche couldn’t be adequately filled with sound by an 8-piece ensemble, and there was no additional sound system. Sound quality was excellent—though a bit quiet—and the arrangements were superb; Vivaldi would have loved it! 4 out of 5—and definitely worth seeing and hearing!
