Last week

The home is quite small compared to so many chateaux in France but this was enjoyable. My favorite- especially with all of the works and art by Leonardo de Vinci everywhere. The park was amazing. Definitely a must see!

A magnificent visit. As I work a lot on Leonardo's work, the gardens are beautiful and visiting Clos Lucé is deeply moving for me, especially seeing his workshop and drawings that I know so well.

After booking for 4 people a month in advance, we arrived at the entrance of Clos Lucé, and the barcodes were scanned, allowing us to enter.

Aside from the fact that I saved money (5%) by using the Headut website, the shopping experience was really good and straightforward. I received the tickets via email, and the app made it easy to get into the castles—and it works perfectly even without an internet connection!!

The Clos Lucé Castle, formerly called Manoir du Cloux, is located in the center of Amboise, France. Built in 1941, this luxurious residence building has been passed on to several famous owners throughout history. While it stands in all its Renaissance glory, decorated royally on the inside, the castle is most popularly known for being Leonardo Da Vinci’s last home. With the invitation of Francis I, Da Vinci moved into the royal French residence in 1516 and went on to spend the last three years of his life here.

Besides a splendid collection of art and sculptures, the castle boasts a wide display of the Italian Maestro’s best inventions. You will be able to witness and take photos of architectural wonders such as The articulated glider, The Tank, The Catapult, The Mechanical Drum, and more.
