I really enjoyed my visit to the Acropolis and the Parthenon. The skip-the-line ticket saved me precious time, especially during peak hours. The audio guide was clear, well-organized, and allowed me to understand the history of the site without being rushed by a group. The climb takes a bit of effort, but the view from the top is spectacular and well worth the trip. I also liked that the audio guide offered anecdotes and explanations I would never have noticed on my own. In short, an enriching and very well-organized experience. I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to explore the Acropolis independently and immersively with HEADOUT (low price and high-quality service)! Thank you ☺️

Visiting the Acropolis was one of the highlights of my trip to Athens. The history, architecture, and breathtaking views of the city are truly unforgettable. Standing beside the Parthenon and seeing these ancient monuments up close gives you a real appreciation for Greece’s rich cultural heritage. The site is well maintained, and the information provided helps bring its history to life. I would recommend visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and the heat. A must-see destination for anyone visiting Athens. Highly recommended! Wear good footwear the walk can slippy at times and take plenty of wawr as can be very hot.

The Acropolis is truly spectacular and stunning. Seeing it from the outside does not do it justice - you must get tickets and see the Parthenon, Erechtheion, and Temple of Athena Nike for yourself. I read a great book about the Parthenon beforehand, so knw the history. I thought the audio guide was good, but slow. I liked how it was broken into parts, so you can pick and choose how you want to listen, view, and walk around. Because of crowds, you want to choose areas independently and the audio guide does allow for that. Get tickets for 8am. The line moves quickly.

This was our first time in Greece, and visiting the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Acropolis Museum was one of the highlights of our trip. We were amazed by the rich history, culture, and architecture. The museum was excellent and helped us better understand the importance of these incredible landmarks. The entire experience was enriching, inspiring, and unforgettable. It was absolutely worth it, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Athens. We left with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation for Greek history and civilization.

I love how everything was just a pass-through when you have purchased an online ticket pass, it's seamless, you never have to worry about falling in line. Went up to see the theatre of Dionysus and it was a sight for sore eyes- i was in awe!!! Then all of the temples in the acropolis was so mind-blowing to see and to understand how everything was made carefully while it was all but huge pillars is something one cannot imagine. Too beautiful to see, such an experience. Thankful to the greek gods for this experience!

An amazing experience!! The ticket ordering process was simple, and the instructions for the entire process—including what to expect on-site—were clearly explained. Super-fast support via WhatsApp... even though our tickets weren't visible in the app yet, everything worked out thanks to their prompt response. We didn’t have to wait at the entrance... Perfect with the fixed-time booking. I’ve already made bookings in several cities, everything has always gone perfectly, and I can only recommend it!!

  • From the Acropolis to the Ancient Agora, see Athens’ most legendary sites with a guided tour or explore at your own pace with a multilingual audio guide.

    Getting started

Your visit begins at the Acropolis, where you’ll either meet your guide at the designated entry point or start your self-guided tour with an audio guide. If you’ve chosen a guided tour, your expert will introduce the site's history before leading you through this ancient citadel.

    What to expect

    The Acropolis

Walk through the Propylaea, the grand gateway to the Acropolis, and soak in sweeping views of Athens. Explore the Parthenon, the crown jewel of classical Greece, as you learn about its construction, famous sculptures, and how it evolved over time.

Visit the Erechtheion, known for its elegant Caryatid columns, and the Temple of Athena Nike, dedicated to the goddess of victory. Your guide (or audio tour) will share the myths behind these temples, including Athena and Poseidon's legendary rivalry for Athens.

Head down to the Theater of Dionysus, the birthplace of Greek drama, where ancient playwrights once staged their works. Stop by the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, a Roman amphitheater still hosting performances today.

    Acropolis Museum (optional)

Upgrade your ticket to explore artifacts from the Acropolis, including the original Caryatids, the Parthenon Marbles, and the Frieze of the Parthenon. Visit the museum’s underground excavation, where an ancient Athenian neighborhood is preserved beneath glass floors.

    Old Town (Plaka) (optional)

Opt for an Athens Old Town audio guide to explore Plaka’s historic streets, Byzantine churches, and local tavernas while learning about the city’s evolution.

  • What to bring

    • Have your passport, ID, and student ID ready for a seamless experience.

    • Stay ahead of the game and download the audio app beforehand to dodge any network glitches at the location.

    What's not allowed

    • Only small backpacks or handbags are permitted.

    • Professional photography equipment, tripods, and drones are not allowed.

    Accessibility

    • The Acropolis has limited accessibility for visitors with mobility challenges. While there is an elevator near the South Slope entrance, its operation is managed entirely by the venue and may not always be available. Contact the site a day before your visit at +30 210 3214172 or +30 210 9238470 to confirm availability.

    • Certain pathways are paved, but terrain remains uneven in many areas, and assistance may be required.

    • Visitors with disabilities and one escort are eligible for free admission with valid documentation.

    • Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available near the Acropolis Museum and site entrances.

    • Rest spots and benches are available, but shaded areas are limited.

    • The Acropolis Museum is fully accessible with elevators, ramps, and tactile exhibits for visually impaired visitors.

    • Some sites, like the Roman Agora and Temple of Zeus, have smoother paths, but others, like the Ancient Agora, feature rough terrain.
