Getting started

Check in at Dar Ennassije and meet the master weaver who will lead your standard group weaving workshop. You are introduced to the looms and wool, then shown how the artisanal setup works. Once everyone is settled at their station, the hands-on artisanal weaving workshop begins with a short demonstration of basic techniques.

This hands-on artisanal weaving session at Dar Ennassije is designed so beginners can work through the traditional method from thread to finished piece. With a maximum of five places in the workshop, you receive focused guidance from start to finish.

Features

• One weaver is assigned per guest, with only five places in the workshop, so you can follow the traditional artisanal method at a comfortable pace from thread to finished piece.
• A master weaver, wool and loom materials are provided, and you are shown how to set up your loom, choose your threads, and start weaving your own design.
• The workshop is fully hands-on, with artisanal weaving practice at every step and guidance tailored for beginners, so no prior experience is needed to create your textile.
• Your woven piece to take home is yours at the end of the session, giving you a personal textile you have made yourself during the workshop.
• Traditional Moroccan tea, including mint tea, is served during the session, and souvenir photos are taken so you can remember your time at the looms.
• This is a standard group workshop format, with wool, looms, guidance, mint tea, and souvenir photos included; transport to and from the workshop is not part of the experience.
