So much to see so little time but our guide took us to the masterpieces and took her time explaining to us not only the history of it, but also how to appreciate it.
We saw the David and he guide was knowledgeable and personable. His observations were very helpful to understanding why the Statue is a masterpiece.
Highly recommended
It was a very interesting and engaging guided tour. We learned to understand the great art of the painters in the Uffizi much better, and it was a lot of fun.
I was impressed by the dimensions of Botticelli's Primavera, which I had learned to love thanks to a puzzle I was given. I was moved before The Birth of Venus, whose head had inspired a mermaid I once painted in an underwater landscape. The paintings are beautifully displayed in their new rooms.
We loved the manner in which the entrance to the tour was organized so that our group did not have to stand in the long queue to enter the Galleria despite the fact that the entrance time was not strictly adhered to.
Although our tour guide was very informative about the art works in the Galleria, at times, her accent made it difficult to thoroughly understand the historical significance of such great pieces of art.
