Day two of our girls trip, and it exceeded our expectations. We had snow on the Remarkables, it was a clear, cold, big sky day and the sun was shining. We were all rugged up, took heaps of photos and then ended up in the below cabins keeping warm.
Walter Peak Station Gourmet BBQ was a well oiled machine. Everything was timed beautifully, not being rushed in any way. The food was amazing and there appeared to be an endless supply. Kim, the sheep dog did the homestead proud showing of her skills. On the way back we had to a couple of Hot Toddies- the were the best we had the whole weekend. Definitely recommend.

The Milford Sound Day Trip with Cruise was an unforgettable experience for me and my family. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and the entire journey felt smooth, comfortable, and well organised. Our dependable driver, Brian, made the trip even better — expertly navigating the challenging roads while sharing interesting, relevant stories about the places we passed. We also appreciated how he confidently handled a few noisy passengers so everyone could enjoy the commentary. It was a relaxing, memorable day, and we will happily recommend this tour to our friends.

There are lots and lots of boats running every 10 minutes practically. They all do the same thing, same route as far I could tell. There are massive boats that hold 300+ people. This company have a small boat, we at times got really close to the cliffs for a close up of the seals or water fall. I don't think the bigger boats can do that. We were not over crowded and tea and coffee, hot chocolate was provided. We went on a dry sunny day and it was cold, but we were on the top level on the outside of the boat. The inside was warm. The best view on the boat is the front but you do get wet, so wear lots of layers and a raincoat and your set. The only thing I would have wanted more is rain, apparently if you go on a rainy day it's stunning.

This was a great trip again by RealNZ. Bus pickup early from Te Anau meant we were in Milford Sound before the throngs arrived from QL. Really informative talk on board cruise and from bus driver en route, with some interesting photo stops en route. Good choice of food and snack on board cruise.

The cruise was amazing!! Everything from the staff, to the information, to the vessels and the weather (ok, we lucked out with that!) such a fantastic day that we will never forget!
Genuinely felt that the commentary provided on both the bus and the boat were brilliant - history made fun!

This was the highlight of our trip!! Spending the day looking at scenery that doesn't even look real!! This is a do not miss! I recommend doing the smaller vessels over the bigger boats. The only thing to be aware of is the company Head Out who was in control of getting our bus to location was not on top of things. They told us to be at the bus stop at 6:30-6:45 and it was not the right time. It wasn't supposed to be till 7:30. They also told us there would only be 15 people on the boat and it really had about 50.
The driver (Neville) from Altitude was GREAT! Very informative!! The boat Miter was also great! So just don't use head out to book this trip. Be sure and do it though! Worth the long drive!!!
