After arriving at the entrance to the theatre and seeing the long line for tickets we bought our tickets on Headout online and skipped the entire line. The theatre is amazing with views to match. Well worth a visit.

You can walk all around the theater, and the physical audio guide (rather than a guide streaming onto your phone) was both convenient and informative. The only downside was that you cannot drive to the entrance. You have to park somewhere in town and walk into the site.

There is a problem with the map that is given out with the audio guide. The numbers on the map do not correspond to the numbers in the theatre, so we ended up doing the whole thing backwards! Someone should fix the numbers so that when you to the Greek Theatre you don't have the same experience.

The theater is beautiful, but there was an issue with the audio guide: entry to the theater was scheduled for 4:30 PM, and as instructed, I arrived 15 minutes early, at 4:15 PM. However, because the ticket office closed at 5:00 PM, I was told I had to return it by 5:00 PM. As a result, the time I had to use the audio guide wasn't 1 hour as stated in the booking, but barely 35 minutes—completely insufficient for a full tour of the theater.
