Pro tips to help you make a pick

You can choose between a standard Szechenyi Baths entry ticket with a locker or a private cabin for added privacy and convenience. Consider getting skip-the-line tickets if you are short on time to ensure a hassle-free direct entry inside the bath complex.

Do you have more than a day at hand? Opt for combo tickets that let you enjoy the baths and explore other attractions on another day. You can combine your Szechenyi Baths visit with a Danube River Cruise, Hungarian Parliament tour, or a hop-on hop-off bus tour to explore more of the city.

For an unforgettable night in Budapest, grab a Saturday Sparty ticket at Szechenyi Baths and dance to electrifying beats amid dazzling lights and acrobatic shows. Note that Sparty tickets only cover the party area, not full access to pools, saunas, or wellness services. To enjoy it all, book the Szechenyi Baths + Sparty combo for added savings.

If you have medical conditions or are pregnant, consult your doctor before visiting Szechenyi Baths. Note that massages are not available for pregnant guests for safety reasons.

Children above 14 years are welcome, while those under 14 are not recommended for pool use. Parents who choose to bring younger children do so at their own responsibility. Additionally, children and babies in the process of potty training are not allowed in the pools.

Did you know?

Built in 1913, Szechenyi Bath holds more than 100 years of history and has been visited by about 100 million people, including celebrities like Madonna and Will Smith.

The thermal pools of Szechenyi Bath are sourced from natural hot springs and boast waters rich in minerals like calcium, magnesium, sodium, sulfate, hydro-carbonate, fluoride, and metaboric acid.

Szechenyi Bath complex is often called a "bath palace" because of its interior design featuring water and bathing motifs like shells, mermaids, and sea monsters. The elaborate motifs, along with grand pillars and arches, might make you feel like you've stepped into the palace of an underwater kingdom.

Szechenyi Bath complex faced significant damage in World War II during the Siege of Budapest in 1944-1945 when one-fifth of the structure was impacted by heavy artillery. Despite the destruction, diligent restoration efforts have returned the bath to its former glory.

Why visit Szechenyi Bath?

Soak in medicinal waters

Unwind in the natural hot spring-fed medicinal baths, where warm, mineral-rich waters offer a soothing escape from stress and potentially even boost your health. It's the ultimate spa experience, infused with the tranquility of nature, to help you leave your daily worries behind.

Various pools & wellness services

Discover the ultimate wellness experience at Széchenyi Bath, where a variety of pools and facilities cater to every taste. Beyond the pools, enjoy access to saunas, steam rooms, and a range of spa services, ensuring a rejuvenating escape for body and mind.

Fit for all seasons

Szechenyi adapts to the seasons. In winter, the outdoor pools become a cozy haven amid the snowflakes. Come summer, the atmosphere shifts to a lively scene of sun-kissed lounging and refreshing cocktails by the pool.

Unique architecture

Marvel at the grandeur of Szechenyi's Neo-Baroque architecture, where stunning Roman Bath Culture-inspired murals adorn the interior walls. The building's vibrant yellow facade, set against a blue sky, creates a lovely visual contrast that's not to be missed.

Pool parties

Get ready to party like never before at the Széchenyi Baths' legendary Sparty! Every Saturday night, the thermal pools transform into a dance floor full of energy and excitement.

The cruise was beautiful and charming. The boat was spacious and comfortable, with an onboard bar and a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Unfortunately, due to a power outage, the Parliament building wasn’t lit up as usual, but it was still a wonderful experience.

A lovely experience on the Danube! The cruise departed right on time at 9:30 pm, and we were able to see all the main landmarks beautifully illuminated at night. The atmosphere on board was very pleasant and relaxing. Definitely a great way to enjoy Budapest from a different perspective!

Night Cruise on the Danube in Budapest Overall, we enjoyed the night cruise on the Danube at 8:30 PM. The views of Budapest from the river were beautiful and the atmosphere was great. However, there were a few things that could be improved. There were no seats on the upper deck, which was not very comfortable. Also, the glass windows on the first level made it harder to fully enjoy the views, especially in summer. Another disappointment was that the Parliament building was not fully illuminated, so it didn’t look as impressive as expected. Overall, it was a nice experience, but there is definitely room for improvement.
