Our guides Bevan and Jan where incredible, super personable and hilarious, but also knowledgeable. We learnt so many wonderful things about the nature and history of the island. We also saw some of our bucket list birds, most notably the mohua and kakariki. Even tasted some scale insent excrement! Yummy

Seeing the Kaka in action and the Ruru asleep in its nest. Jan was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and communicative, obviously is deeply passionate about the island and its inhabitants!!

Enjoyed the walk and listening to all of the birds. I would have liked to follow around with a trail map. The guide was very helpful with identifying sounds.
