This was the best idea for getting around Venice. Very convenient and regular rides. I thought the vaporetti may be crowded- some were and some weren't. We definitely got to see more of Venice this way.

I bought day tickets online, and as soon as we arrived in Venice, we went straight to the ticket machine, which dispensed our tickets after we entered the code received by email. We only used them to get around by vaporetto, and it was super convenient! Lots of vaporettos and clear directions. The only issue we ran into was the vaporetto from Rialto to the station, because it filled up entirely with locals while tourists were left waiting there. So maybe add a few more vaporettos on Saturdays and Sundays.MMichel F

Lots of history and details about the frescoes. On the plus side, you gain a much better understanding of the schism between the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Constantinople. The interior lighting (for us around 11:00 AM) was limited. A tour better done later in the afternoon regarding the position of the sun??FFabio M
