It was easy to purchase tickets and navigate the website. I recommend getting tickets online because the line was so long outside. We walked right in. I appreciate the deliberate separate entrance and exit as well as the directions in the floor.. I went at the end of July and it was so hot but inside it was pretty cool. I wish I had more time so I could see everything but it was magnificent!

We had a wonderful tour of the cathedral, with plenty of details thanks to the audio guide. The library is a real highlight—don't miss it! The little chapel in the back on the right was our favorite part.

San Gimignano is an open-air museum, and simply walking through the town’s narrow streets and squares is enough to leave you enchanted. A visit to the Duomo and the Torre Grossa greatly enriches the experience: the Duomo for the incredible grandeur of its frescoes, and the Torre for its view over the city’s rooftops and towers. The other municipal museums included in the pass are less interesting. That’s why I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
