I took the cruise on a beautiful, sunny day, and it felt great being out on the water. My favorite part of the trip was the description of the Golden Gate Bridge and how many people were not in favor of building it, the technical difficulties of construction, the challenges for the construction workers, and the magnificent result that everyone loves. Very inspiring.

My dad and I really enjoyed the experience! We loved learning about the history of the island and agreed it was a very good quality tour. We would recommend it to others. Our only points of feedback: 1. Before getting on the ferry line, we had to chug our coffee. We couldn't sit in the area with picnic tables so we had to just kinda stand in the middle of the entrance. A bench by the entrance or extending the "no drink/food" line past the picnic tables would have been pleasant. 2. We wanted to know more about why the decision was made to transition Alcatraz from a military prison to a regular civilian prison in the 30s. How did they determine which prisoners to send to Alcatraz? And when it closed in the 60s, where did the prisoners go?

First of all the weather in SF was fantastic which of course you don't have anything to do with, but it definatley made the experience really great! The ferry was clean and staff were nice. There were alot of people on it, bt everyone seemed to enjoy the ride with the beautiful views of the city and the golden gate bridge and beyond. The tour of the cell house was very educational and well done. I also liked wandering around the island seeing all the birds, plants, and flowers.

Amazing experience at Alcatraz! Everything was well organized, the audio tour was excellent, and the views of San Francisco were unforgettable. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

Once on the cruise it was fine. Check in was delayed because they did not except the QR code for 3rd party purchases. So I had to stand in the kiosk line and missed my 1:35 ferry and had to wait until the 2:15. Was not impressed that they did not allow the QR like ordering directly.

We did the audio tour. Very informative and the perfect pace. The gardens were an unexpected highlight. The story behind them was very interesting.
