Potter's Wax Museum

The collection includes about 160–170 wax figures, though not all are displayed at once. Themes range from U.S. presidents and explorers to royalty, biblical figures, sports personalities, movie characters, and people tied to St. Augustine, so different visitors can find sections that match their interests.

The Presidents & U.S. Leaders Room gives visitors a visual run through American political history using lifelike wax figures and short plaques. Reviews and local guides highlight this area as a favorite for school-age kids and adults who want names from textbooks turned into faces they can photograph and study at close range.

The Explorers & Founders Section connects the museum directly to St. Augustine's local history. Along with local personalities, these displays help parents and teachers talk through the city's origin story and early U.S. history while moving through the self-guided route.

Later sections shift from history into lighter displays with actors, film characters, and sports figures. Personal photography is generally allowed, and many visitors treat these rooms as the most playful part of the visit because the figures are set up for easy pose-and-photo moments.

Most visitors spend about 30–60 minutes inside, so the museum works well as a short stop between larger St. Augustine sights. Its indoor, air-conditioned setting also makes it useful in summer heat or rain, and the Orange Street location puts it within easy reach of nearby Old Town attractions and trolley stops.
