Just wow, Fes blew my mind! Walked all over the old medina with my friend and our guide, Rachid—he knows EVERY little alley and detail, even which cats are friendly, ha. He told us wild stories about the blue gates, the old tanneries (btw, bring a scarf for the SMELL), and even showed us a hidden bakery tucked into an alley. Felt like we were in a movie. We did get a bit lost at one point, but Rachid rescued us. Souks were busy but sooo colorful. Would totally do it again, maybe in cooler weather though—it gets HOT!

First time in Fes and honestly, it’s a maze. Thank god we had Salma as our guide. She was super patient with my two kids (they were always running off to look at donkeys or sweets stalls). Felt a bit rushed in the afternoon, but we managed to see the tanneries and even got a tiny leather pouch (Salma helped with the price, big win). Crowds picked up after lunch, but mornings were chill. Would recommend, but wear comfy shoes—my feet were DEAD by the end.
