Our Tour of Giverny with Maren On September 4 at 2:00 p.m., we met our guide, Maren, who was going to show us around Giverny, the village where Claude Monet lived. Maren was extremely friendly, warm, and cheerful. She spent an hour and a half showing us around the village and gave us detailed information about all the places worth seeing. At the end of the tour, she left us at the entrance to Monet’s house. If we had visited Giverny on our own, without Maren, we would have missed almost everything. We would probably have simply visited Monet’s house and gardens and left, without seeing Monet’s hotel, the café, or his grave, and without learning all the fascinating information about Monet’s life that Maren shared with us. We were extremely pleased with Maren and really enjoyed her company. We would like to thank her very much for making our visit to Giverny so much more meaningful and enjoyable. This tour was both special & unexpected! We thought we were going to be taken straight into the house and gardens but no, we were taken round the village, to the church and told all about Monet's life, his family, how he bought the house and so on. The tour guide was funny and engaging and obviously took a great deal of pleasure in her tour groups. The only downside was by the time we got inside the gardens we were in need of coffee and a sit down. Our guide had indeed asked if we wanted to get a coffee but we didn't wish to stop the tour and had no idea if we were allowed to take drinks inside - we should've asked more questions! Many thanks to Marianne for a super tour (apologies if name is spelt wrongly) Unfortunately my husband could not get any reception on his phone but has agreed with all the above and would love to return. Well done - good job.

Wycieczka po Giverny była super. Marine urzekła nas swoim profesjonalizmem,dużą wiedzą tematyczną i sposobem jej przekazania. Zobaczyliśmy ciekawe miejsca okraszone fajnym opowiadaniem. Spotkanie z Cloudem Monetem poprzez przewodnika Marine oceniam na 12 w skali do 10. Ogród Japoński ,ogród przed domem i sam dom Moneta oglądaliśmy już sami . Dziękujemy Marine ,było wspaniale.

The tour was for Monet's garden however the guid met us at 1000 as agreed but spend until 1130 walking us around Givernay . We had already done this the day before. We expected to enter the garden at 1000 as booked. It was a complete wast of time and money.
