We went in the Woodstock entrance so had a beautiful vista of the bridge and then the house , both of which were stunning. Very welcoming guides that explained where to go and stories of the restoration. What a lot of care is taken of the house. We were privileged to see 5 of the private rooms , maybe because scaffolding was in the great hall. I especially enjoyed the downstairs and the Churchill rooms . Wanted a bus around the gardens and my husband couldn't walk them , but there were no spaces . Maybe some advice on booking these would be useful as this was our only disappointment. We did find a little train that took us to the butterfly house and walled garden , there is also a pizzeria there for those that like pizzas. We were lucky with the weather . If you lived nearby it would be worth buying a yearly ticket as there are lovely walks around the estate. The best bit was they printed me out a ticket as I had problems navigating it on the booking . Made it so much easier to show it when needed . Great day out

Veibeskrivelsen var god, selv om billetten var veldig uklar. Stedet var bra. Dessverre gjorde det å bestille på denne måten at vi ikke kunne oppgradere til et årskort. Vi føler oss derfor skuffet over dette, ettersom vi gjerne ville ha besøkt stedet igjen.

Well organised. Polite helpful staff. The state rooms at Blenheim were well worth visiting and the history of the palace fascinating especially the development of the Churchill line and Sir Winston Churchill's place in it and his life story. I also enjoyed the royal family photography exhibition in the library. The grounds are extensive and well worth exploring. Also the water gardens and the views over the lake are lovely. I was so pleased a printed visitors map was available as an alternative to an on-site guide which personally I hate.

It was brilliant, beautiful palace and lots of history about Winston Churchill and Robert Peel, who was ahead of his time trying to achieve equal rights for women and Catholics. The Great Hall was magnificent, and was used to accommodate the injured soldiers returning after WW1. They must have wondered what was it all for, we were shell shocked and injured in the trenches, while the aristocracy lived im luxury. Thankfully life is better for most people in Western Europe.

Really loved the Palace- such amazing architecture, the furnishings beautifully preserved and the great tour guide who gave incredible history of the place. Also the stunningly, landscaped gardens were beautiful to walk amongst- felt very calming & peaceful especially with all the water features.

Yes but it's very huge place and a long walk. It would be ideal if a train can be taken around the garden surrounding the palace for people. Mist enjoyable and interesting history.
