High-quality bus; the guide told us stories about the places we visited; well-organized and no lines. It could have stayed at the castle for just one more hour—it was too rushed, so we couldn’t explore much, especially since it’s summer and the days are longer.

Everything was organized down to the last detail—from the bus to admission and the return trip by horse-drawn carriage. Inside, though, there wasn’t much time to see everything properly (45 minutes). Steven was a passionate storyteller.

Accessibility

Neuschwanstein Castle offers an elevator for wheelchair access. To ensure availability, we recommend you reserve it in advance.

The hiking trail to the castle is paved and partly very steep. It's best to use the horse carriage transport where any regular-sized, foldable wheelchair can be stowed in the trunk of the carriage. Please note that the carriages do not have a ramp.
