I bought the ticket several days ago while I was still in Spain. I didn't have to wait in line at the entrance to the Royal Palace. The palace is impressive, and there are quite a few rooms to visit.

The place is amazing, but the staff is the worst—they didn't even recognize my e-tickets and turned me away three times until they finally got around to helping me. And what service! They saw that I had my tickets and that they were valid since they were electronic. The guy at the door was terrible, and the woman at the counter was just as rude.

Built as the historic palace of the House of Savoy, the mansion features several apartments that overlook the gardens and the piazza. Stroll through their passages and admire the works of art collected from around the world. The intricately built staircases will wow you, as well as the glittering chandeliers and the painted frescoes on high ceilings.

One key highlight during your visit will be the Royal Armoury. Find here suits of armor from the 16th and 17th centuries lined against the halls, along with advanced weaponry from the era. There is also the Chapel of the Holy Shroud that was only reopened in 2018 after a lengthy restoration, following a fire in 1997. Don't miss out on visiting the Royal Library, too. It is home to a collection of more than 200,000 books, engravings and drawings, including a famous self-portrait by Leonardo Da Vinci!

Entry is free for all visitors on the first Sunday of each month.

Entry is free for visitors under the age of 18, those with disabilities and the person accompanying them, school groups, tourist guides, tourist groups, the staff of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, and holders of an Abbonamento Musei/Torino+Piemonte Card or ICOM card.

These are direct entry tickets, meaning you can skip the ticketing line. However, all guests are still required to go through the mandatory security check, which may involve some waiting time.
