Landmarks in Stuttgart

The Merced museum is always somewhere I've wanted to visit after 20 years of working with Mercedes in the UK, we were on a European trip and we detoured to Stuttgard especially to see this, it did not disappoint.

It was spectacular—I arrived before it opened and had no trouble with the ticket. In fact, the first surprise upon arriving was finding a bronze bust of our beloved Juan Manuel Fangio at the museum entrance. I’m Argentine, just like he was, and it was incredibly moving to see such a prestigious institution honoring this remarkable man at the main entrance—a very pleasant surprise. As for the museum, words are unnecessary—it’s simply excellent!

Excellent visit to the Mercedes Benz museum, which is well laid out and enabled me to follow and understand the history of the automaker with ease. Also a great touch to have Mercedes Benz owners to showcase their vehicles (classic & new models) at the entrance. Well done!

We bypassed the long ticket line and walked right in on a busy Sunday! Everyone entering is expecting to learn about cars....however, I did not know of the impact Benz/Daimler/Mayvach had on sea and air travel as well?! The museum provides incredible insight into the founders vision and creations beginning in the1880's. Truluy a must see and allow yourself extra time as one could easily spend a full day here.

The way the exhibitions are designed—especially the breathtaking time-lapse progression through automotive history—was simply mesmerizing. You don’t just see cars; you feel the evolution of an idea that shaped the modern world. What made it truly special was how emotional the experience became. Each level tells a story, not only of engineering brilliance but of the people, challenges, and breakthroughs behind it all. It’s inspiring, immersive, and beautifully curated. We left feeling amazed, grateful, and honestly a bit in awe. This place is not just unique—it’s unforgettable.

This was my first visit to the Mercedes Museum, but I was disappointed by the vehicles on display—I was expecting to see more recent models. Still, it’s an exceptional place because of its history. It’s worth visiting at least once, just like the Porsche Museum, where the complete history is chronicled through a collection of exceptional vehicles.

A beautiful museum. The staff were welcoming, and it’s easy to get to from the parking lot. The connection between the history of Mercedes-Benz and major moments in world history is fascinating.

Buying the ticket online was quick and easy. I bought it before arriving at the museum, and we were able to go right in without waiting. We were able to enjoy the Mercedes Experience right away. My husband and I really enjoyed it. It was very impressive to see how the vehicles have been modernized over time. It was highly interesting. We definitely recommend visiting if you come to Stuttgart.
