Begin your half-day couscous-making workshop by meeting the women of the Lmzinda cooperative in their kitchen. After a brief introduction to the session in Arabic and Darija, you are shown the ingredients and cooking equipment you will use. Once everyone is ready, the hands-on preparation with raw grain begins at a relaxed, practical pace.

What to expect

Spend half a day inside the Lmzinda cooperative kitchen, cooking side by side with local women as you turn raw grain into a full couscous meal and then sit down to taste it together.

Features

• Hands-on couscous preparation starts from the raw grain, as you learn traditional rolling and sieving techniques, followed by three separate steamings to reach the final texture on the plate.
• All ingredients are provided for you, including the couscous grain, the meat, vegetables, and spices that go over it, along with all cooking equipment needed for every step.
• A shared couscous meal you prepared is served around one dish, so you can taste the finished recipe exactly as it is usually eaten while you spend time with the Lmzinda cooperative women.
• Throughout the half-day workshop, an expert Arabic and Darija-speaking guide supports communication, explains each stage, and helps you follow local methods at your own pace.
