What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes with good support, as paths range from uneven stone steps to dusty valley trails and underground tunnels.

Bring a light layer, since temperatures can shift noticeably between open viewpoints, shaded valleys, and underground cities throughout the day.

Carry sun protection such as a hat or sunscreen, especially for exposed valley stops where shade is limited even outside peak summer.

Keep a small backpack rather than a large bag, which makes moving through narrow underground passages and village paths much easier.
