Getting started

Enter through the main gates of the Lower Belvedere Palace. Your ticket grants direct access—just present it at the entrance to begin your visit.

What to expect

The Lower Belvedere is part of a UNESCO-listed palace complex that showcases one of the world's finest Baroque architectural ensembles. Once Prince Eugene of Savoy’s residence, the palace today is a celebration of art, history, and ornate design.

The Marble Gallery: Admire the dramatic stucco war trophies that celebrate Prince Eugene’s military victories.

The Hall of Grotesques: See whimsical grotesque paintings on ceilings and walls, preserved in their original 18th-century form.

The Gold Cabinet: Step into a room lined with golden walls, oversized mirrors, and intricate ornamentation, untouched since 1765.

The Palace Stables: A haven for art lovers, this gallery showcases rare pieces from the Belvedere’s prized Medieval Collection.

What's not allowed

Suitcases and large bags are not allowed in the museum and cannot be left in the cloakroom.

Additional Information

The BIP garage at Palais Schwarzenberg and the BIP garage at Schwarzenbergplatz offer discounted parking for a time window of 6 hours.

When you validate your parking ticket at the ticket offices of the Lower or Upper Belvedere (see opening times), you can park for up to 6 hours for € 6 in one of the two garages that are open all day (midnight).

Note: With your time slot ticket you book a fixed access time to the museum. The duration of your stay is unlimited.

Your voucher will be emailed to you instantly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the redemption point. Students must show a valid student ID.
