Spot whales and dolphins off Costa Adeje on a laid-back cruise with food, drinks, and a swim or snorkel stop included.

Getting started

Make your way to Puerto Colón in Costa Adeje, following the meeting point details on your final voucher. Once at the harbor, the crew will check your booking and invite you on board your chosen vessel, either a catamaran with wide decks or a smaller sailboat. After a short safety briefing and orientation, find a comfortable place to sit, stow your belongings, and get ready to leave the marina for open water.

What to expect

As you cruise out along Tenerife’s southwest coastline, you’ll head towards the Teno-Rasca protected marine strip, a stretch of ocean known for its resident pods of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins. The crew will point out movement on the surface, explain what species you’re likely to see in season, and share simple facts about their behavior and habitat.

Features

Whale and dolphin watching: Navigate known whale and dolphin hotspots off Costa Adeje, watching for pilot whales, bottlenose dolphins, and other passing species in their natural habitat.

Snacks, lunch, and drinks on board: Enjoy a Canarian-style lunch or snacks, plus included drinks, so you don’t have to plan a meal around your cruise time.

Swimming and snorkeling stop: Take a dip in clear Atlantic waters at a planned stop, with time to swim, float near the boat, or use basic snorkeling gear where provided.

Flexible boat options: Choose a catamaran if you want more deck space and stability, or a sailboat if you prefer a smaller group and a more relaxed, classic sailing feel.

Coastal scenery: Take in Tenerife’s southwest coastline from the water, with views of resorts, coves, and volcanic cliffs as you cruise back towards Puerto Colón.

What to bring

Photo ID: Bring a valid photo ID that matches the name on your booking.

Swimwear and towel: Pack a swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim or snorkel.

Sunscreen: Bring reef-safe sunscreen if you intend to swim or snorkel.

Accessibility

Mobility limitations: This cruise is generally not suitable for wheelchair users or guests with significant mobility issues.

Boarding support: Guests with reduced mobility should contact us in advance to check boarding and seating options.

What’s not allowed

Outside food and drinks: Do not bring your own food or drinks on board, as these are already provided.

Smoking and vaping: Do not smoke or vape anywhere on the vessel.

Pets: Do not bring pets on board; only registered service animals are allowed where local rules permit.

Large luggage: Do not bring large suitcases or oversized bags, as storage space on board is very limited.

Intoxication: Be aware that visibly intoxicated guests may be refused boarding without a refund.

Supervision of children: Ensure children are supervised by an adult at all times on board.

Infants: Be prepared for infants to sit on an adult’s lap while the boat is moving.

Weather and route: The operator may change the route, reschedule, or cancel the cruise in rough seas or severe weather.

Wildlife sightings: Understand that whale and dolphin sightings are very common but can never be guaranteed.

Snorkel equipment: Bring your own mask and snorkel gear to swim and snorkel.

Motion sickness: Consider taking motion sickness medication before boarding if you are prone to seasickness.
