The spa was lovely, much cleaner than we expected and we were able to grab front row seats having only arrived at 10:00am (on a Wednesday). The cruise was fantastic- Elijah was so knowledgeable and spoke fluently through hundreds of years of history! Both standout experiences and the ticket process was super easy at both!!

Es una experiencia espectacular, las piscinas exteriores son increíbles, aguas termales que sientan de maravilla y las interiores una pasada, te transportan a otra época. Totalmente recomendable si viajas a Budapest

We.had a great day here. Very smooth arrival and registration (9.30am) and staff on the ground very helpful in allocating our locker and changing rooms. Very relaxing to use all of the baths and pools here!

Gran bella esperienza in uno dei centri termali più grandi d'Europa. Luogo molto affollato ma non per questo spiacevole ...tutto gestito molto bene! Consiglio una visita a chi fa tappa a Budapest.

Nous sommes arrivés à 10h du matin il n'y avait pas de queue et nous avons apprécié la cabine pour nous changer et y laisser nos affaires. Le site est magnifique à l'intérieur et à l'extérieur avec différents bains à différentes températures. Mais il faut mentionner que les tongs sont obligatoires ! Ils en vendent sur place si besoin mais à des prix excessifs

Esperienza molto bella alle Terme Széchenyi, assolutamente da fare durante un viaggio a Budapest. La struttura è grande e offre diverse piscine, sia interne che esterne, con temperature differenti. Le piscine esterne sono sicuramente la parte più suggestiva e l’atmosfera è davvero particolare. Consiglio di arrivare al mattino, soprattutto se si vuole godere delle terme con un po’ più di tranquillità, perché con il passare delle ore diventano piuttosto affollate. È utile portare con sé ciabatte e asciugamano; gli spogliatoi sono comodi e ben organizzati. L’ingresso con il biglietto acquistato tramite Headout è stato semplice e senza problemi. Nel complesso è stata un’esperienza piacevole e caratteristica, che consiglio di inserire nell’itinerario se si visita Budapest.

Llegamos a Budapest y un día despues de ver lo mas destacado decidimos ir a las termas de Scechenyi, no sabiamos como contratar la entrada y buscando en internet nos aparecio la pagina de Headout, tras leer varias reseñas positivas decidimos tramitar las entradas con ellos. Todo fue facil y rapido y al día siguiente cuando acudimos a las termas los codigos que nos enviaron funcionaron a la perfeccion para entrar. Por tanto una experiencia muy positiva y una empresa muy recomendable para contratar entradas. Muchas gracias.

The place is magnificent and I enjoyed a relaxing day there. I arrived at midday and there were no sunbeds left in the whole place, but I found a single (last!) chair which was very comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the beauty of the architecture and the yellow facades around the outside pool area. What I didn't like was that I had to pay an extra 10 Euros, as the regular tickets were sold out.

Ticketing worked smoothly although it wasn't immediately apparent what I was supposed to do once I had my wristband - some guidance here would have helped. Wonderful atmospheric building and a classic Budapest experience.

Getting started

Start your day at the main entrance of Széchenyi Spa, where you’ll validate your ticket and receive your locker or private cabin access. Once checked in, you're free to explore the spa’s historic and rejuvenating facilities at your own pace.

What to expect

Opened in 1913, Széchenyi Spa is Europe's largest thermal bath complex, famed for its Neo-baroque architecture and healing mineral waters sourced from natural hot springs.

Features

3 outdoor pools: Relax in the thermal pool, swim laps in the swimming pool, or enjoy the experience pool with jets and massaging water features.

15 indoor pools: Choose from pools of varying temperatures, designed to help with relaxation and wellness.

Sauna & steam rooms: Access multiple saunas and steam cabins to detox and enhance your wellness experience.

Locker or private cabin: Store your belongings securely in a locker or opt for a private changing cabin for additional comfort.

Want to save time and avoid entrance crowds during the rush hours? Opt for fast-track entry, available in morning or afternoon time slots, to skip the main queue and gain direct entry to the spa.

What to bring

Bring along your swimsuit, towel, slippers, and a swimming cap for the experience.

It is mandatory to wear slippers throughout the spa area. Swimming caps are required in swimming pools but not in thermal baths.

What's not allowed

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

This experience is restricted to guests under the age of 14 years.

Accessibility

This experience is not wheelchair or pram/stroller accessible.

Additional Information

On Saturdays, the venue opens at 8:00 AM, so plan your arrival accordingly.

Due to scheduled maintenance, the swimming pool will be closed from April 20 to May 17, 2026.

Renovation work will take place at the entrance stairs from Állatkerti Street between May 4 and July 12, 2026.

The swimming pool side locker room area will be under renovation and converted into a coed locker room between July 29 and August 6, 2026.

The staircase sunbathing area will undergo renovation from August 31 to October 11, 2026.

The women’s thermal section will be closed for renovation from December 7, 2026, through November 2027.

The pools and surrounding areas must be vacated 20 minutes before closing.

Last entry is permitted up to one hour before closing time.

If you select the fast-track entry ticket, make sure to enter the spa before 11am or after 3pm for guaranteed immediate entry.

Your ticket allows one-time entry only and cannot be reused for re-entry.

Your voucher will be emailed to you shortly.

Display the voucher on your mobile phone with a valid photo ID at the starting point.
