Steamboat NATCHEZ Jazz Cruise

The location of the pier was a major plus—it’s within walking distance of many hotels and famous streets. Boarding and disembarking were both very efficient. There was plenty of seating available across the various decks. Everything was clean, as one would expect on a ship, and the crew worked in perfect coordination during both departure and docking. One observation and a suggestion: while waiting to board, passengers gathered under a canopy where music—sounding like a barrel organ—began to play. The volume was extremely loud and unpleasant; I even saw people covering their ears. Since the wait lasted at least 15–20 minutes, it was, to put it mildly, quite uncomfortable. That is my only criticism. As for a suggestion: most of the passengers are likely tourists, and not all of them are American. Even though the captain spoke very clearly, I suspect that not everyone understood everything he said. It might be a good idea to display brief summaries of the captain’s commentary on screens throughout the ship, available in several common languages. Of course, this is just a suggestion for the company to consider. Otherwise, thank you for the cruise!

OMG, what a delight absolutely perfect evening. The boat was incredible. Oldest steam paddleboat still working under steam. The music was beautiful Jazz. Beginning to end it did not cease to amaze us. The food was absolutly incredible. Very informative from learning we were in the deepest part of the Mighty Mississippi River. Staff was exceptional. After 1000's of trips to NOLA & listening to that music from our room all day & night I thought it was a recording but NO there is truly a man up top playing it by hand. We have a new favorite go to inNOLA now. We will definitely be back for another beautiful evening. Worth every single penny it cost. 10☆'s perfect

My first time ever being on a boat was such a special experience, especially because this cruise was a birthday present! The Steamboat Natchez Jazz Cruise was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and create memories I’ll always cherish. Being out on the water, taking in the beautiful New Orleans sights, and enjoying the unique atmosphere made the experience feel extra special. It was such a memorable way to celebrate, and I’m so glad I got to experience something new. This was definitely a birthday gift I won’t forget!

The dining experience was incredible. Delicious food - the seafood pasta and gumbo was my favorite - the atmosphere was a trip back in time (with air conditioning). I recommend eating dinner first while docked so when the boat takes off, you're free to roam about to see the engine room, the river, and the band on the top floor, which was excellent. Everything about the evening was fantastic. The next time we travel to New Orleans, we will definitely be having dinner on the Natchez again.

Had a great time learning about the history of LA, loved watching the traffic on the river. The interaction between the cruise ship and the steam ship was fun and waving to the other passengers was nice. The weather was great. It was so cool to see the steam engine and the paddle going. This was our second time on the ship, we brought our friends on who acted like it was Christmas morning. Gre at time, would do it a third time too! What great way to relax and enjoy our vacation.

I recommend the sightseeing tour in the evening without dinner. We grabbed food before hand at the French Market for more options abd less cost. Boarding was easy and we grabbed good seats on deck right away, before one of us grabbed cocktails. Natchez stays docked for the first hour but we sat at the front of the ship and enjoyed the two hour cruise and the music playing inside the did ing room. Even rain didn't dampen the ride.
