What an amazing building, so close to the sea! It's got history and excellent displays of sea creatures. Some can be viewed from above the open water, while the swimmers and water-wafters can also be seen through the glass and from underneath, through the tunnel. In addition, VR and other hands-on areas fully engage children.

Excellent all areas, staff particularly the glass bottom boat were very knowledgeable and entertaining. My 10year old grandson who has a keen interest of the natural world had a very informative conversation with the glass bottom boat operator and has asked that we go back soon.

It was a fairly smooth outing, and reasonably relaxing for an autistic person like myself, while there were the expected small children also attending the building didn't reverberate the sound of their enthusium.

Absolutely an epic day out. Me and my partner had a lovely experience. Are highlight of the day was the jelly fish, sting rays and the turtles . We will deffently be back again with the family.

My long distance boyfriend flew to the UK to see me and we visited the Sea Life Centre in Brighton. I like sea turtles so watching them swim, with my bf was memorable to me. What made it more special was I didn't know that he brought me 2 sea turtle plushies and they were already in his luggage even before going to the aquarium. He gave them to me that night.

What to bring

Bring your digital or printed ticket to present at the entrance for scanning.

Students must carry a valid student ID to use a student ticket.

What’s not allowed

Visitors under 16 are not permitted to enter without an accompanying adult.

Large bags and suitcases are not allowed inside the venue.

Accessibility

SEA LIFE Brighton is wheelchair accessible.

An accessible entrance is available via the beach underpass, reached using the ramp down to the seafront.

Accessible toilet facilities are available on site.

Guests with disabilities pay the standard admission price.

One accompanying carer receives free entry.

Additional information

Pre-booking is required for all visitors, including passholders and voucher holders.

Lockers and cloakrooms are not available, so large bags and luggage cannot be brought inside.

The Ocean Display in the auditorium has limited access, but it can also be viewed from the accessible Ocean Tunnel.

Children aged 2 years and under enter free, though a ticket must still be reserved.

Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

Standard admission includes a 10-minute arrival window.

Entry is valid all day, with same-day re-entry allowed until the final admission time.

The aquarium is usually quieter in the early morning and late afternoon.

Student tickets are valid during off-peak periods only (Mon–Fri) and are not accepted on weekends or peak dates.
