Russell was an amazing tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and happy to answer all of our questions. The tour never felt rushed, and he gave us plenty of time to look around, take everything in and get lots of photos. The audiovisual experience and 4D projection inside the clock chamber were absolutely fantastic and really added to the experience. I also loved hearing the stories and fascinating facts about the Liver Birds, particularly Bella and Bertie, and learning things I’d never heard before. A brilliant and really interesting experience made even better by Russell. Highly recommended!

Our fantastic tour guide was very insightful, and took the time to answer questions as we went around. Each stage of the tour was explained beforehand and we were given lots of time at each point to take pictures, read information and ask questions. the views from the 15th floor were well worth the amount of stairs!

The tour was very well laid out with informative pictures and text. The video show in the clock tower was excellent. The guide was very good and we didn't feel rushed at all even up and down all the steps to the tower.

Far better directions needed please. Not standing in front of building but going down steps to the right of the main entrance. Your and our guide excellent- well worth it. Steps, videos, views near but not at the top of building.

What to expect

Liverpool’s skyline feels incomplete without the Royal Liver Building. This early 20th century landmark has watched the city grow from a maritime powerhouse into the modern waterfront you see today, with every space inside revealing another layer of its story.

Large luggage bags, suitcases, food & beverages, smoking, alcohol, umbrella, and sharp metallic tools or objects are not allowed on this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.

Flash photography is strictly prohibited at the venue.

The tour involves 124 stairs above the 10th floor; visitors must be able to complete the full route.
