Perfectly timed departure of both the ferry/ boat and the island bus tour with the v knowledgeable and delightful Lisa! Give that lady a payrise immediately! Only helpful suggestion would be to tell people where to park all day at the Freemantle docks, just past Dock E, as we panicked a bit when we arrived and everywhere else was 3 hrs. Plus didn't realise needed a printed ticket if booking through a third party operator and had to run over to the Sealink info booth. Otherwise, brilliant service, amazing day with Quokkas!! 🥰 I didn't touch it!! Was just trying show perspective of how tiny it was. Just a lil bub

The tour guide Eli and bus driver Simon were fantastic! Very informative on the island itself and eager to answer questions! My favourite part was when Eli taught everyone about the history of the island and how to be more approachable to the quokkas by sitting down rather than crouching. My family and friends had a great time visiting one of the very very lovely beaches there, the water was so amazingly clear! Which Eli taught us why the water is so clear! I will be visiting more often and am shocked that I have never visited in my entire 25 years living in Perth! Thank you! We also saw SO MANY WHALES!

Fantastic guided tour! Brian the bus driver along with Eli the guide were a fab duo! Eli's expertise of the island and knowledge was second to none! Very informative and enjoyable. We even spotted all the amazing wildlife that there was to see. Highly recommend- Rottnest Island is truly beautiful!

The tour is great with an excellent tourist guide who is knowledgeable with Rottnest Island. First time for us to see the cute and adorable Quokka. If you love beach and nature, this is for you. Ferry to the island is smooth with perfect weather during the day tour. Overall, we enjoyed much.

My 97 year old father enjoyed it immensely. He vusited Perth 70 years ago but never Rottnest. The ferries were smooth & fast which he lived. Rennie our bus driver was very kind & considerate with him & the tour was fabulous. He even liked the lunch. Thank you all.

Getting started

Your ticket includes round-trip ferry transfers from Fremantle and entry to Rottnest Island. Check in 30 minutes before departure at B Shed Terminal. Once on the island, join a 1-hour 45-minute air-conditioned bus tour with live commentary, then enjoy time to explore at your own pace.

What to expect

Spot the quokkas: Stop at Thomson Bay or Cape Vlamingh to capture Rottnest's friendly quokkas, most active in the late afternoon.

The Basin: View this iconic natural swimming spot from the bus; optional quick stops allow photos or a refreshing dip.
