Amazing experience, I recommend it to everyone visiting Gran Canaria. I enjoyed every single minute spent at the aquarium and my most favourite area was the giant pool with many spieces of sharks.

Make your way to Poema del Mar Aquarium, which literally translates to 'Poem of the Sea' for a tour of 35 unique ecosystems from around the world. Expect to find over 300 marine species here, including sharks, piranhas, clownfish, and more. This is in addition to the 2,000 species of flora!

Once you're inside, you'll find yourself transported into a whole other world, teeming with marine creatures big and small. Marvel at the lagoons of the Jungle and head to the Reef - a 400,000-liter cylindrical tank - and spot lovely jellyfish, sea dragons, and more in colorful mangroves. In the Deep Sea section, live the aquarium's most lethal residents: hammerhead sharks, angel sharks, sand-devils, and manta rays!

The use of a face mask is mandatory.

It's necessary to prove your Resident Status in the Canary Islands by showing your National Identity Document.

The Aquarium is open daily from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
