Excellent. The way the headphones tracked out position in the tunnels was fantastic. It was the most informative experience I have had in Paris. I always love the musses d'art and classical concerts but decided to add the catacombs to my time in Paris. Everything was so well organized and so cool in the heat!

This tour was awesome (and much appreciated during this crazy historic heat wave). We stayed cool and enjoyed the location based prompted tour. Our kids really enjoyed it and the headphones were perfect for all of us. I wouldn't hestiate to do the audio tour because it's so good. The only thing that was a little annoying was the ticket redemption. Thankfully the workers at the Catacombs knew exactly how to find the right tickets from Headout. Also, the boat tour was a great and super easy addition. The tour was great and we would have enjoyed the boat much more if it weren't so hot on the roof (there's no shade, but there is an interior seating area that may be cooler). If you see people selling bottles of water out of coolers before you get on the boat, buy some, you'll thank your future self!

It was amazing! The Chapel was my favourite area, and learning about the history of collapses and development of the catacombs was something I had wanted to do for many years. The engineer who perished while reinforcing a section that collapsed on him, and having special access to see that area preserved in his memory was especially touching. The only criticism that I have is that I felt the lighting was too bright for the ambience of the environment. Thank you very much for a great experience, it exceeded my expectations!

The entry was smooth and the headsets worked perfectly as we made our way through the tunnels. Very well explained, interesting in its delivery presenting wonderful ithistorical content. It is clean, well organized, easy to walk through and well worth it. I would highly recommend.

Location was completely fascinating! It is a once in a lifetime experience. They had a respectful tone for the sacred location. Loved having the audio tour. The only thing that could have made the audio tour better would have been to translate the inscriptions as we went along.

Venture twenty meters below Paris to explore the underground ossuary, where the remains of six millions of Parisians line intricate tunnels. This site, dating back to the late 18th century, offers a rare perspective on the city’s layered history.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes and warm clothing are recommended, as the Catacombs maintain a temperature of around 14°C (57°F) and the tunnels can be slippery.

What’s not allowed

Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Suitcases, large bags, strollers, and motorcycle helmets are not allowed.

Smoking, drinking, and eating inside is strictly prohibited.

Strollers are not allowed at the venue; use a baby carrier.

Photography is allowed without the use of tripods or bulky equipment.

Pets are not allowed except for service animals.

Accessibility

The Catacombs are not accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility due to numerous stairs (130 steps to enter, 112 steps to exit) and uneven surfaces.

The experience is not recommended for visitors with heart or respiratory conditions, or for those who may be uncomfortable in confined spaces.

Children under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
