Getting started

Begin by meeting the 8Adventures team and checking in for your selected option. You then board the air-conditioned transportation that takes you into the Chiang Mai countryside. Once onsite, CPR and First Aid certified guides and staff outline the plan for your chosen activity and organize gear before you set off on your off-road or river adventure.

What to expect

Chiang Mai off-road and jungle zones

You spend your time in the countryside outside Chiang Mai, moving between off-road tracks, jungle trails, and a mountain river, depending on the option you select.

Features

The jungle trek option includes a 3-hour trekking to waterfall experience, where you walk forest trails and explore Thailand's exotic flora and fauna before reaching the waterfall area.

ATV options give you either a 3-hour ATV driver ride, a 3-hour ATV passenger ride, or a 3-hour ATV or quad bike driver session, taking you on an exciting off-road adventure through the beautiful Chiang Mai countryside.

Whitewater rafting options cover either 10-kilometer whitewater rafting or 8-kilometer whitewater rafting, with routes categorized as 10-kilometer whitewater rafting, class 3-4 or 8-kilometer whitewater rafting, class 2-3, so you can cool down by rafting down a mountain river.

Throughout your experience, CPR and First Aid certified guides and staff supervise activities; you use UL Coast Guard approved life jackets and CE EN certified helmets that are included with your booking.

Air-conditioned transportation is provided between the base and activity areas, and every option includes lunch along with drinking water, tea or coffee, plus insurance and a towel set to use after trekking, ATV riding, or rafting.

Wrapping up

When your chosen activity or combination, such as trekking plus ATV or ATV plus rafting, is complete, you return your gear and can change using your towel set. The team then takes you back to Chiang Mai in the air-conditioned transportation, so you finish the day ready to continue your plans in the city.

What to bring

Footwear: Bring shoes suitable for trekking to stay comfortable on the jungle trails.

Clothing: Bring a change of clothes so you can dry off after rafting or trekking.

Hydration: Carry water and stay hydrated while on the trail.

Fitness level: All participants should be in reasonable physical condition for trekking, rafting, and ATV activities.

Health restrictions: This experience is not suitable if you have heart conditions, back or neck issues, broken bones, or are pregnant.

Group safety: Stay with your group during the trek to ensure your safety on the trail.

Rafting details: If you select a 10-kilometer rafting option, you will raft on class 3–4 rapids.

Rafting options: If you select an 8-kilometer rafting option, you will raft on class 2–3 rapids.

ATV driver level: If you select an ATV driver option, it is suitable for beginners to intermediate drivers.

ATV passengers: Children aged 7 to 14 years must join the ATV as passengers, not drivers.
