The gondola ride to the top of Innsbruck was fantastic ! Would highly recommend for anyone thinking of doing that. The zoo itself was not overly big. Would be a nice day out for a family, but was not a highlight for us. I have seen that the best time to see any animals is early morning, and we went middle of day, so if wanting to see animals would try then.

We wanted to back to a place we love, it has been 8 years. It was just as stunning, we were a little bit slower walking to the top after the lifts🤣. The process for the tickets was simple, no stress, this helped make the day enjoyable. Hopefully we get to do it all again a lot sooner.

Wonderful experience, right from the entrance to the peak. The shuttle and gondala rides were great, the restaurants at the stops had food and refreshments and last but not least the views are amazing. Highly recommended!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Nordkette Experience! Climbing the Nordkette was one of the best experiences of my trip to Innsbruck. First, I took the steep funicular railway up the mountain, which was an exciting ride with amazing views over the city. After that, I continued with the cable car to reach even higher into the mountains. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking. From the top, I could see Innsbruck, the surrounding Alps, and even patches of snow. The fresh mountain air and beautiful hiking trails made the experience unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting the Nordkette if you are in Innsbruck. The combination of the steep railway, the cable car, and the incredible views makes it a perfect day trip.

This is one of the most no hassle experience we have had in Innsbruck. From the beginning to the end there were multiple places where we had to swipe these tickets including alpine zoo. Within just 30 minutes travel from the city to the Top of Innsbruck with the funicular and two panorama gondolas. Admire the elegant contrast between modern stations of the Nordkette funicular and the rugged mountainous landscape. As the bustle of the city gives way to the tranquility of the mountains, you’ll find yourself surrounded by the untouched, pristine vistas of Tyrol!

For an elevated experience above Innsbruck's cityscape, consider the optional upgrade to journey from the city center to the Seegrube. Perched high above the rooftops, the Restaurant Seegrube offers a delectable selection of traditional Tyrolean cuisine, accompanied by awe-inspiring vistas of the city below. You can also upgrade and opt-in for access to the Alpine Zoo. Finally, choose to save some money by selecting the happy hour tickets which give you a 20% discount if you enter before 9:30am or after 3:30pm.

Important Information

The Hungerburg Funicular is accessible for wheelchair, pram, and stroller users.

Pets and guide dogs are allowed to tag along. However, they must wear a muzzle or must remain in a suitable transport box during the cable car rides and will not be transported without.

Reduced-price parking is available at the Congress Garage (Rennweg 3, 6020 Innsbruck) if you show your ticket and parking ticket at the congress cash desk (open daily from 8am to 6pm).
