When we visited NEMO my none-technical wife thought it would be a trial. But we were there five full hours and we both loved it. We have heard criticism that it is targeted at children and some science is incorrect. Well the science seemed good to me and the simple clear illustrations were very helpful and some of the evolution schematics and evidence were fascinating to me as an engineering post-doc and both of us as Christians. And - there is nothing reprehensible in explanations being aimed at children. It is good to see them being engaged and excited. Well done.

Der Besuch in dem Museum hat uns den regnerischen Tag in Amsterdam wirklich gerettet! Mein Sohn sagte, es sei das beste Museum gewesen, das er je gesehen hat. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht alles zu erklären, die Kinder konnten alles anfassen und ausprobieren und die Ausstellung ist super gemacht! Wir hätten durchaus den ganzen Tag dort verbringen können! Vor allem mit Kindern ist das Museum wirklich ein Muss!

The canal tour and National Maritime Museum package was a great deal! We started with the friendly Capatain of the Lover's Canal Boat tour and got some great information. Then there was a short walk to the Maritime Museum where the two highlights were the courtyard's glass ceiling and open concept and the exhibitions; the Amsterdam, a recreation of a Dutch East India Company ship was a real highlight!

The NEMO Museum is a fun and educational museum for children. Besides them, it's also a great way for adults to brush up on their knowledge. It is designed so that every floor has something new to do and learn. The museum covers everything from STEM fields to human biology. Highly recommended for visiting with children!

Ben met mijn kleinzoon geweest, hij vond het heel leuk. Vooral de dingen waar hij actief aan mee kon doen. Van samen een huis in elkaar zetten tot het computerspel over popcorn verdelen, waar hij de stoelmassage won. En de AI callenge was ook heel leerzaam en heel mooi gepresenteerd.

What’s not allowed

National Maritime Museum

Food and drinks are not allowed inside the exhibition, but you are welcome to eat in the open courtyard, the jetty, and the pontoon.

Bags larger than A4 size are not allowed on this experience.

Due to venue restrictions, pets cannot tag along for this experience.
