Couple예약 확인2주 전5/5Quinta da Regaleira was easily one of my favourite places to visit in Sintra. I especially enjoyed strolling through the huge gardens, with their winding paths, towers, hidden grottoes and views of the surrounding mountains. There’s so much to see that it’s worth taking your time rather than rushing from one attraction to the next. I also liked learning that a lot of thought went into the design of the gardens, wells and underground tunnels, with hidden meanings and references to mythology and old spiritual traditions. It makes you look at the whole place a little differently, knowing that so many of the details are there for a reason. The famous Initiation Well is definitely a highlight, but I was just as impressed by the underground tunnels. Walking through those dimly lit stone passages was quite an experience, especially since some of the rough stones almost look like skulls at first glance. A little eerie, but also really intriguing! And as a lovely little bonus, we even came across a cute cat hanging out in the castle gardens, looking completely at home among all the visitors. Such an unusual and memorable place, and definitely worth spending a few hours exploring!JJose F
Group예약 확인2주 전5/5Tucked into the misty hills of Sintra, Quinta da Regaleira is one of the most enchanting places in Portugal, and I'd even say it outshines Pena Palace. Gothic towers, moss-covered gardens, hidden grottoes: every corner feels like a page from a fairytale. The highlight is the Initiation Well, a 27-metre spiral staircase descending into the earth, rich in Masonic symbolism. Dark tunnels lead from its base to a waterfall and a quiet lake. My friends from abroad were spellbound. Go early in the morning, bring a small flashlight for the tunnels, and take your time. Truly a must-seeHHoward L
Couple예약 확인2주 전5/5Loved Pena Palace, truly a must see! Such an impressive piece pice of history. Spent a few hours you can be as long as you want or make it quicker. Plan on arriving in town at least an hour and a half before your time. Loved the Regaleira the well was a highlight there is so many lovely photo opportunities and it's like a fairytale castle. You must wait for your slotted time and will not be admitted early. Loved the day took train from Lisbon was wonderful!RRocio M
Family예약 확인2주 전
This combo gives you access to two of Sintra's most iconic palaces: The National Palace of Sintra and the Quinta de Regaleira. Their proximity makes this the ideal booking for a tour of Sintra's best treasures.
National Palace of Sintra
The National Palace of Sintra served as a residence for almost every Portuguese king and queen till the end of the monarchy in 1910. The first thing you’ll notice from a distance is its two conical chimneys and rooms, culminating centuries of Moorish and Portuguese history. The tour will take you through some of its most iconic rooms, including the Swan Hall, the Magpie Room, the Palatine Chapel, and the Heraldic Hall with its octagonal dome. Each space features intricate details from a variety of different influences.
Quinta de Regaleira
The Quinta de Regaleira was built in the 20th century by António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro, a wealthy Brazilian businessman. Walking through each floor, you’ll come across a mix of Gothic, Rainnaisance, and Manueline styles. A stroll through the gardens will lead you to an underground network of tunnels and an initiation well. Every corner is dotted with symbolism, and the tunnels also lead to a secret entrance that leads to the Initiation Well.
