On day one, arrive in Bukit Lawang and take a local becak ride along the riverside lanes, meeting residents and soaking up everyday village life.

On the final day, continue through Gunung Leuser's greenery before tubing down the Bohorok River on inner tubes back toward Bukit Lawang.
